Admissions
Classroom Observation
To learn about Oak Knoll Kinderhaus and better understand how a Montessori education can benefit your child, it is necessary to observe the class during the work cycle. Parents are provided an opportunity to observe our students in their classrooms for approximately 15 minutes. After the observation, questions regarding our programs will be answered. An observation appointment must be scheduled with the office.
Toddler and Primary observations occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:15, 9:30, 9:45 and 10:00 a.m.
Elementary obervations occur on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:15 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Application
After the observation, parents are welcome to submit an Application for Admission. Applications are accepted by email at info@okkms.org, however, they will not be processed until the $100 fee has been received.
Visit
Parents will be contacted so the applicant may have an opportunity to visit his or her prospective class. Toddler visits may occur for approximately one half hour during the children's outdoor activity time. Primary and Elementary visits may occur for the morning work cycle or the full day.
Elementary Trial Period
Students applying to the elementary program either mid-school-year or summer are required to have a two-week trial period with the class. This is necessary to ensure the needs and expectations of the child, family, and class are all met.
